'Once Upon A Time' - The Princess and The Frog

'Once Upon A Time' is part of new deluxe Collection of miniature dolls I have created with attention to authenticity, intricate detail and using only fine fabrics.

‘Once upon a time a frog rescued a golden ball belonging to a beautiful princess and asked for a kiss in return. The princess closed her eyes and prepared to kiss the ugly frog………’ And we all know what happened next, don’t we?

A beautifully dressed one twelfth scale doll sits on the wall of a garden pond along with a large green frog.

This stunning princess wears an extravagant pink silk brocade open fronted gown trimmed with cream coloured ‘fur’. Underneath is a pure silk under-gown in a delicate shade of lavender trimmed with floral braid. On her head is a matching steeple henin head dress draped with a silk tulle veil and her long ash blonde hair tumbles around her shoulders. On her feet are matching brocade pointed toe slippers decorated with tiniest pearls and crystals. A frothy ivory lace petticoat peeps out from underneath her gown and she wears a beautiful pearl and crystal belt around her waist. In one hand she holds the golden ball and in the other the large green frog.

The OOAK pond is highly detailed with three large fish under the ‘water’ and several water lilies. Around the top of the pond wall are flowers and plants plus another smaller frog sits next to the princess. There is also another tiny frog just about to climb out of the ‘water’ onto some little steps.
